Chemical Peels For The Holidays

The holidays are right around the corner. Sure, today it’s all about the pumpkin and amassing massive amounts of candy. But soon it’ll be all holiday parties and Kris Kringle. Dr. Fedele offers a variety of chemical peels to rejuvenate your facial skin and present a certain glow to all of your co-workers and friends.

What Is A Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels need a new publicist. They sound so unpleasant. But chemical peels are really nothing more than forced exfoliation of the outer layers of your skin. This process, of course, is ongoing (ever wonder what dust is predominantly made up of?!). Chemical peels simply make it happen.

Chemical peels vary in strength based on the peeling agent. There are superficial peels, medium peels, and deep peels. Superficial peels are also called light peels. They usually employ glycolic acid as the peeling agent. Glycolic acid comes from fruits and other sources such as sugar cane. Medium peels use tricholoroacetic acid (TCA), and deep peels use phenol.

The depth of the peel is affected by the peeling agent, and the length of time the agent is allowed to stay on the skin. Various peels also have different recovery periods.

Peels We Offer

At Dr. Fedele’s we offer different peels to fit our patients’ needs.

Alkalescent Treatment

This is a gentle peel, providing mild rejuvenation. It is great for those with sensitive skin. Our Alkalescent Treatment helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improves the skin’s overall texture and tone. There isn’t any downtime.

Perfect Derma Peel

The Perfect Derma Peel works from the inside to repair and nourish the skin. It gives you a radiant glow, refining pores, improving skin hyperpigmentation, lifting melasma, diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, and controlling acne. Our Perfect Derma Peel also includes glutathione, an antioxidant that defies the aging process. This is a deeper peel but doesn’t require extensive recovery.

Blended Peels

We have a series of peels in this category. They are medium-strength peels but don’t require the same downtime as traditional TCA peels. We combine peeling agents to help with breakouts, hyperpigmentation, and fine lines and wrinkles. These peels range from light with simple light flaking to deep with three or more days of peeling.

  • Sensi Peel— Skin brightening for sensitive skin.
  • Ultra Peel— Improves fine lines and wrinkles, while promoting an even skin tone.
  • Ultra Peel Forte— Improves fine lines and wrinkles while evening out the skin tone. This is for more resilient skin types.
  • Smoothing Body Peel

This peel is not for the face, but for the back of the hands, the neck, décolleté, and back. It can be combined with facial peels.

So, don’t peel that tangerine. Peel away that dull, old skin and reveal a new, brighter you. Call Dr. Fedele at 216-464-1616 and ask about our chemical peel offerings.
